Sweet, I got that gig...

Well I was telling you the other day that I went for an interview to get a job at a college up here in the Northern part of Illinois, well I got the gig!

I had a very well prepared resume outlining all my musical background working with many local bands and one national bands that went on and had a very playable song that got aired on the major radio station. More on that later down the road.

So there I was waiting for my turn to interview along with many others. I guess the school just files everyone in one day and makes there decision that day. Well only a few of us were taken to a different room to fill out paper work.

My Mandatory New Employee Orientation/Training session is Thursday Sept 18. Now how cool is that. For the longest time I been working on the smaller stages at the club level and now major arena. Now don't get me wrong - the club still a very good gig. But...

Anyway when I can, I'll take some shots of me working as things get rolling. It sounds like we get to hang backstage at all concerts!! Sweet!

The other day a friend of mine Robert called and left a message wondering when ASD was going to be back online. As you might have not known ASD was put on hold by our wonderful US Gov't. They were calling it a Pozni and put everyone on hold.

If your not familiar with ASD it is where you surf the net looking at 24 Ads for 15 sec. each, which got our accounts built up pretty quickly for doing so. I was so impressed with the easy of ASD that I was going to set up my mom with a computer and have her surf.

Once ASD gets back online I'll have her set up. I'll keep everyone posted on what's happening with ASD.

You know working from home is really fun, but most people think that you just get out of bed and walk down the hall and check you bank account to see how much money you have made, etc.

Nothing can be short of the truth!! Working from home is very hard and takes a lot of work. If your not the person that can get yourself kick started in the morning, during the day, in the late evenings... then you might want to keep that day job for a bit longer.

I have found that taking little bits here and there and working your way into it, is better than saving a bunch of money and then telling your boss "Get Screwed" cause I'm going to make millions online and then find out 3 to 4 months later that you haven't produced any income, in fact you lost almost all that you saved like so many others that follow the path to riches.

Take you time and it will come.

Keeping the job I like...

Hello friends,

When I took on making a living with the Internet I often wonder do I really need to quit my job that really love. Most people would say YES! Why would you want to work a full-time job when the Internet is making you all this money?

Can there be a balance? Sure have the freedom to do anything you want really sounds like a sure thing but, if you love what you do and don't mind have a boss looking over your shoulder - then having a JOB is not as bad as it seems.

Right now I do fairly well with my online business (more on that in my following mailings) I have a small office is a very small town in Northern Illinois and my online business is moving right along and I don't push it on anybody and I'm pretty free to do what I want.

But I do like the music/theater industry and there is an opportunity for me to work as a stage handler working at one of the bigger universities who bring in big acts. Plus there basketball team is starting up this fall so I will be pulling the court floor up when concerts come through town.

Who is that good looking dude? It just seem like yesterday!

Where else could someone go and hang out backstage when big stars roll into town. So could you really called this work, if its something that you love to do?

If your trying to make it in the online world just for the money - you will never make it!! Sure you can go through the motions and play the part but, sooner or later people will see right through you. This is a lesson I had to learn the hard way for many years.

I always thought it was the product. the product, the product. And I pushed, and pushed, and pushed. And if you push hard enough - people push back even harder. Its all about having fun. If your being pushed in your mind, you need to reprogram your thoughts and gear it down. If doing an online business is what you want to do, then find one that says "Hey I like this program and I know others will to". That's what I was looking for in a home base business. Its easy and others will have fun doing it too.

Until next time have fun, don't get your mind in race with itself.

And most of all do what you love to do!! Its the only thing that will truly keep you happy.
